Let me share with you, step by step how I use these 10 powerful strategies to increase BLOG TRAFFIC and build massive income with them.

If you want to become pro blogger, you need to get steady heavy traffic. The easiest way to bring a consistent amount of traffic to your website is through Search Engine Optimization. This is when you edit the code of your websites so that they can be indexed and found easily by users searching on sites like Google.com and Yahoo.com.

Quality traffic tip #1: Leave comments

I can think of no better way to get your name out in front of key players in your industry than by leaving smart, relevant comments on existing blogs. Each comment you leave serves a couple of purposes: it creates a link back to your site (always a good thing), it illustrates that you have something of value to add, and can be the first step in building a relationship with the site owner.

Example #1: By leaving comments on problogger.net, I started to form a relationship with the site’s author. We moved from exchanging comments, to email, to IM, to beer (a good progression in my books!). That relationship has done wonders for my business in the form of referrals and testimonials from a very trusted source. It never would have come to be if I didn’t leave comments.

I can almost guarantee that every time you leave a comment, someone will visit your site. Building your audience one at a time may sound like an awful lot of work. But those readers who come via comments are very likely to be interested in what you and your blog are about. So you odds of converting that reader to a client (or whatever your conversion goal is) are good.

Note though, that you’ve got to have something to add. Just leaving a comment with your site name and address, or otherwise spamming comments is just plain dumb.

Quality traffic tip #2: Participate in forums

This is actually very similar to leaving comments. Just about every niche under the sun has a forum dedicated to it. The people who populate those forums tend to be amongst the most vocal and passionate members of their community. Engaging with them, on their terms, by contributing something of value is a great way to find influencers and thought leaders.

Be cautious here though. Do not just show up and say “Hey, check out my blog”. First, establish your credibility by participating in a number of discussions. Then, when it’s relevant to do so, mention your site.

Again, this can seem like a painstaking way to build traffic. It does take time and effort. But the results can be astounding if targeted traffic is what you need.

Quality traffic tip #3: Email other bloggers

When you’ve written something great, write to other bloggers in your niche and tell them about it. Do it politely, without expectations, and you may be pleasantly surprised to find that you pick up a bunch of new readers. The key here is “without expectations”. Don’t email the same person frequently, and don’t be obnoxious. Save this for when you’ve got something special. When you do, simply summarize your post, and write something like “I’ve just posted about blah, and thought you might be interested.”

It’s amazing how few new bloggers take advantage of email. When done correctly, you’re not imposing on the receiving blogger. Rather you’re helping point out resources he may not have otherwise been aware of.

Quality traffic tip #4: Submit your site to relevant blog directories

A google search for “blog directory” (with quotation marks) returns 9,360,000 results. At least a couple of those will have sections relevant to your industry or niche. Almost all directories allow you to submit your site for free. Do a bit of research, find the directories that are relevant to you, and spend a couple of minutes per week submitting your site. Super easy.

Quality traffic tip #5: Join a network

Using google again, “blog network” (with quotation marks) returns 1,190,000 results. There are blog networks for just about everyone. The benefit of joining a network is shared traffic. Network members interlink like crazy, and often refer work to each other. I’m a member of the 9rules network (one of the first, actually). Aside from the traffic boost, one of the greatest benefits of membership is the behind the scenes camaraderie that has sprung up on the private message board. There’s lots of “real life” networking going on here, with members helping each other and their businesses in a myriad of ways.

Quality traffic tip #6: Online advertising

Online advertising need not cost very much, yet it can be extremely effective. Find sites that are in or are related to your industry but that do not directly compete with you. Approach the site owners to see if you can purchase a small ad. Costs for this can be really low – as low as $20 per month. Because you can control the ad’s message, you can ensure that you’re getting targeted results for your investment.

Oh yeah, the offline world of advertising… I remember that… Are there any industry specific publications or newsletters you can advertise in? Depending on your niche, these can be very reasonably priced, and can offer extremely targeted results.

Have something really relevant to say? Let the press know about it. Press releases appear to be dying a slow death, but they’re far from gone. Consult a PR pro when the time is right.

Most reporters rely on tips for their stories, so they’re usually quite receptive to anything that’s within their scope of reporting, and is of genuine value.

Improve your drifting skilled!!!

The official definition of a ‘drift’ according to the Drift Session is, “Exceeding your tires’ limits of adhesion, exhibiting a lateral slip, resulting in an oversteered condition. We’ll break it down like this: 1. ‘Exceeding your tires’ limits of adhesion’ means that there is no longer enough traction available for your tires to maintain grip with the roadway. This can be caused by numerous things including: using too much horsepower at a given point in time, too great a degree to cornering angle, too much speed carried into a corner, slippery roadway conditions, etc. 2. ‘Exhibiting a lateral slip’ means that your car is traveling towards a vector that is not consistent with the direction your vehicle is facing; aka your car is facing sideways, but still moving towards the direction you were previously pointed. 3. ‘Resulting in an oversteered condition’ is basically defined as your vehicle angle being greater than the angle of the corner negotiated. The combination of these three elements is what we will use as the basic components of a ‘drift.’

Here you will find a pretty comprehensive list of popular drifting techniques. Some are easier to achieve than others, but try and see what works best for you. Most professional drifters don’t incorporate all these techniques into their arsenal, so don’t think you have to learn them all to be good at it. Although there are some need-to-know techniques that are a must such as the heel and toe shifting. Anyway, I hope this helps…Just practice in a safe and legal location.

Clutch Kick
To make the car start to slide you dip or kick the clutch suddenly causing the car to temporarily lose traction and starting a rear wheel slide whilst on or entering a bend. Effectively using engine braking – when the clutch is dipped engine speed drops when clutch is released the wheels are moving faster than the lower engine speed requires causing a pull and breaking traction. Alternative a blip of the throttle raises the engine speed so when the clutch is released the driven wheels spin faster than they should so traction is broken.

Dirt Drop Drift
This technique is banned on most tracks. You allow the rear wheels to leave the tarmac surface into a lower grip one such as dirt, gravel or grass. The cars speed will remain pretty stable through this technique as the rear tyre friction is much lower.

Jump Drift
Similar to a Dirt Drop Drift again banned on most tracks. The rear wheels hit the rumble strip at the side of the track. The vibration is enough to upset the delicate balance of grip momentum and traction and the rear of the car slides.

Handbrake Drift
The easiest technique, used by beginners and pros to initate a drift and pretty much the only guaranteed way of sliding a FWD (front wheel drive) car (Its still not a proper drift though!). The handbrake is jabbed on causing the rear wheels to lock up and slide. When a slide is attained the handbrake is released allowing more control of the car and preventing too much loss of speed.

Feint Drift
Requires a feel for the balance of a car and needs you to sense the shockwave of swing as it flows through the car. Coming up to a right hand bend you steer to the left. Then as the back of the car moves left you steer to the right, the back of the car loses traction and starts to drift, then you countersteer and catch the drift. This is a popular technique and is often combined with other techniques, like the clutch kick, to help break the rear traction. Practice this one in large open areas.

Inertia Drift
This requires a lot of speed. Approaching a bend you need to decelerate throwing the weight of the car to the front wheels. When the back wheels become light you can steer the front into the bend and let the back wheels drift. Control is maintained with careful steering control and throttle inputs. A good technique to start drifting but requires experience as the speed involved is not very forgiving.

Points are awarded for each pass, and usually one driver prevails. Sometimes the judges cannot agree, or cannot decide, or a crowd vocally disagrees with the judge’s decision. In such cases more passes may be run until a winner is produced. Sometimes mechanical failure determines the battle’s outcome, either during or preceding a heat. If a car cannot enter a tandem battle, the remaining entrant (who automatically advances) will give a solo demonstration pass. In the event of apparently close or tied runs, crowds often demonstrate their desire for another run with chants of ‘one more time’.:lol::lol::lol:

1 ) AdBrite, is not long one of the best alternatives there is to Google’s adsense. While they do not offer the same large selection of ad formats that Clicksor and Google Adsense provide you they do offer the most ordinarily used ones. In addition they offer inline page links with have some great click through ratios as well as inaugural full page ads which offer an excellent way to monetize all traffic to your site not just traffic that clicks on your ads. Their payouts are also very competitive. They have more relaxed terms and conditions than Adsense and are much more accepting of smaller publishers including bloggers.

If you’re a publisher, use AdBrite to set your own ad rates, and approve or reject every ad that’s purchased for your site or just have AdBrite auto accept ever ad. While AdBrite can provide publishers with more income and better ads than traditional ad networks such as Google AdSense, they work fine along-side them as a way for you to generate additional ad revenue by selling ads directly to your visitors — something the other ad systems don’t do. Note, from my experiences it can take a day or so from when you signup with AdBrite and put their code on your website to actually start seeing relevant ads showing up. So if you see the message “Advertize on this site” just be patient and give it a day or so and you should start seeing relevant ads showing up.

2) Clicksor

Clicksor is one of the current leaders of the small publisher Adsense competition. They have payouts upto a market leading 85% and dissimilar a number of alternatives the cost per click bid values are high enough that you can earn a respectable income. They are also, in my experience, much more tollerant than Google. Their terms and conditions suggest that you should only place one copy of their code on a page but as long as you only place a single pop-up or DHTML code on a page they seem happy to let you place many context sensitive ad blocks on a single site.

Clicksor also has a big consequence over a number of the lower ranked alternatives on this site in that their ads are truly context sensitive. Thus while you can provide keywords they have technology that will also show ads targeted to the content of your site. This means your visitors are exposed to ads of the same subject as they were searching for when they reached your site and thus vastly increases the click thru ratio and thus your sites earning potential. The context sensitive nature also saves you the hassle of having to specify keywords for all of your sites and decide in advance what people might be looking for.

The online stats provided by Clicksor are not consummate but they are enough for you to keep track of the trends with your site. They also allow you to add as many sites / domains as you want under a single account. You also only need the root page of your site approved. Once this is done you can place ads on all of your sub pages.

The payment schedule with Clicksor is also much better geared to the small site owner. In any pay period in which your earnings exceed $50.00 ($20.00 with PayPal), payments are made either by check or instantly through PayPal ($20.00 minimum for PayPal). Revenue totaling less that $50 (PP $20) will rolled into the following period. The pay period is based on a 15 day schedule so you can get paid much more often. Clicksor also do not need a Social Security (SSN) or Individual Tax Identity Number (ITIN) to join and so while this ‘technically’ does not help US site owners with their tax liability it does make it much easier for non US citizens to join up and start earning revenue.
