75 years ago there was one type of vision correction- glasses, spectacles, a monocle, what have you. 40 years ago, we could wear contact lenses. Today, one of the newest and most successful and popular types of vision correction is laser eye surgery. Being the way of the future in vision correction, it is becoming increasingly common around the globe and there is probably a laser eye clinic near your town, city or community.
Eyeglasses, contacts and easy eye-muscle strengthening exercises are still available and widespread, but laser eye surgery is the leading type of vision correction. The latest in technology makes laser surgery quick, permanent and hardly more complicated for you then an eye exam! Laser surgery is safe and efficient.
Another type of vision correction is lens transplants. Perhaps laser surgery is not for you? A lens transplant is a simple medical procedure where a trained technician performs precisely what the name suggests. Your original lens in your eye is removed and replaced with another which will improve your vision once transplanted in your eye.
Always popular, types of vision correction are contact lenses and glasses, as already mentioned. You can change your eye color, accommodate astigmatism and choose styles and colors of frames to match your personal look. Near to you, there is .undoubtedly has an optical location, along with an optometrist. If you haven’t already done so, make an appointment with an eye doctor. Eye health is an equally important part of your overall well-being, don’t overlook it.
Do not be discouraged by your vision problems, they can be corrected. Headaches from squinting and straining can be eliminated, as can the actual root of the problem—myopia, astigmatism, cataracts, whatever it is, it can be helped.
